The streets close to traffic, the warm August night surrounds us and the stars shine in the galleries and studios of downtown Orillia.

Five years ago a late summer’s evening was turned into one of the most successful art events of the year. Orillia’s Starry Night evening is an opportunity to share in the richness of our artistic community. Last year’s event had almost 100 guests join the festivities.

We invite you to make an evening of it; get a group of friends and visit one of the fine participating restaurants. Enjoy a great meal and wonder the art scape of downtown.

This year promises to be the best ever, with 18 venues including studios and galleries, along with restaurants featuring work by local artists and serving up a taste from their creative kitchens. A number of artists have planned some special activities that might be best described as performance happenings.

Come and enjoy the art, the music and a taste of great food.
