This exhibition, Views from a Canoe, comes from a more local journey. Spending much of his time now on Lake Dalrymple, Harry enjoys the solitude of time spent in his canoe where he can quietly glide undetected, capturing both wildlife and nature alike. The photographs in Views from a Canoe are just a snapshot of what Harry has managed to capture with his camera over the last 80 years of paddling.

Outdoors, Paddling
STATEMENT
For me, a canoe is poetry in motion unless, of course, you are
paddling some rapids. Then, it is exciting, risky, demanding and
skill-testing. Together with my wife Marian, I have paddled rivers
across Canada, Namibia and Australia. These rivers all have
their own stories. My photos capture the various moods and
memories of paddling.
May you be lucky enough to find a totally uninhabited lake or
river to understand and feel it. – Harry Hall
