generously on loan from the Salas family. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Jose Salas\, an art teacher at Park Street Collegiate Institute from 1969 to 1994\, left a lasting impression on many of his students.  This exhibition will feature several pieces of his work along with artwork and stories from artists across Canada which he inspired.  \n Oille was a Canadian artist and printmaker (1912-1977) who lived in Oro Medonte in the 1940’s\, creating images for the book “The Owl Pen” by Kenneth Wells. This exhibition will also feature current rural landscapes and places of personal significance. \n  \nGillian Lowry is a multidisciplinary artist working in printmaking (relief printing and screen printing)\, digital illustration\, painting and sculpture. Showcasing photographs of iconic places in Orillia as they once were while contrasting with current photographs by Samantha Vessios\, puts history into context. History is all around us and exists within our everyday lives. We need to remember our history through our stories and preservation of objects and historic buildings.
