“Monsterfy Yourself” Mask-Making Workshop

OMAH presents “Monsterfy Yourself!” a half-day Halloween-themed program for kids ages 5-11.  Join Cassy McKendry, a veteran prop-maker who specializes in monster props, as she guides the class through creating their very own monstrous disguise.  Students will spend the class creating a Halloween mask, decorating a trick or treat bag, and practicing for the big night by trick or treating around the museum, all of which will culminate in a spooky photoshoot.  You will not want to miss out on this ghoulishly good workshop!

Event Series Eco-Art with Parklane Landscapes

Eco-Art with Parklane Landscapes

We have teamed up again with the team of Parklane Landscapes  to bring you eight sessions of eco-art programmes starting this fall.  In this family based program, both children and guardians will learn about plants and planting, biodiversity, sustainable garden design, pollination, and the watershed through unique art projects, seed planting and games.  Eco-Art runs on the first Tuesday of each month until June, December excluded.   All family members are welcome, pricing is based per child.   

This program is open to children ages 4-12 and requires guardian participation.

Pottery Workshop with Rock Paper Poison

Join ceramic artist Bethany Scott for this “midday-make”, pottery painting workshop. Participants will each paint one supplied raw ceramic bowl while learning various underglazing techniques. After the workshop, Bethany will fire your bowl in her kiln. OMAH will contact you as soon as your one-of-a-kind bowl is ready to be picked up. All materials and light refreshments included.
