Employees found out about the news on social media. No final edition. No goodbye. No thank you. Our community was left angry and frustrated\, wondering how they would find out what was happening locally. In less than two months\, our speaker helped assemble a team to resurrect the community’s lifeline. OrilliaMatters was born. Jefferys draws the history of Simcoe\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Wednesday\, April 17\, 2024 at 7PM ON ZOOM \nDr. Frances Helyar\, Professor Emerita of Education at Lakehead University\, researches the history of education\, including the adoption and use of textbooks in schools. The subject of her talk artist\, C.W Jefferys\, was a contemporary of the Group of Seven\, instructor at the University of Toronto School of Architecture\, and an executive member of both the Ontario Society of Artists and the Ontario Historical Society.
