Seniors in the Studio
Unleash Your Creative Spirit
Join us for Seniors in the Studio, a free six-session creative program for older adults at the Orillia Museum of Art & History.
Led by artists Gillian Lowry and Meg Leslie, the series offers participants a welcoming opportunity to spend time in the studio, explore creative processes, and make art in a relaxed and supportive environment.
No previous art experience is required, and all materials are provided.

Participants are welcome to register for the full six-session series or for individual sessions, subject to availability.

Meet the Instructors
Meg Leslie
Meg Leslie is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, ceramicist, mosaic artist, and experienced arts instructor whose work has been exhibited across Ontario.
A graduate of Georgian College’s School of Design and Visual Arts, Meg has created and contributed to numerous public art projects, including mosaic installations and community-based artworks. Her practice has included ceramics, mosaics, watercolour, multimedia work, public installations, and collaborative art experiences.
Meg has extensive experience leading arts workshops for adults and children, including ceramics and mosaic programs, community workshops, corporate team-building experiences, and large-scale participatory art projects. She is also the founder of Urban Sketchers Orillia.
Gillian Lowry
Gillian Lowry is a multidisciplinary artist working in illustration, printmaking, and sculpture. She studied Studio Art and Geography at the University of Guelph, graduating on the Dean’s List with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours). Her work has been exhibited and sold throughout Ontario, and she has contributed to several public art projects in Orillia.
Gillian’s interest in the natural world informs much of her practice, drawing inspiration from nature, geography, the environment, and environmental politics.
Spaces are limited and advanced registration is recommended.
