Quill, Bead and Caribou Hair Tufted Medallions with British Columbia-based artist Crystal Behn
Crystal Behn is a British Columbia-based Dene artist who has dedicated her journey to learning the traditional ways of harvesting meat and fur and the art of beading and moccasin-making so she can pass along generations of knowledge to her students. She is also an artist for the company Manitobah Mukluks. Crystal is a contributing artist in the exhibition Reflections of Ourselves, a collaborative art project which celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Canadians. Please join Crystal for this virtual workshop where she will share her knowledge of traditional quilling, beading, and caribou hair tufting. Participants will complete their own medallions.
This is an adult program offered virtually over Zoom from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
