Attention all high school aged artists!

Icons & Alter Egos: Heroes, Villains, and Everything In-Between

The Founders’ Gallery @ OMAH

 Exhibition Dates: 🦸 January – March 2026 AND  🦹 May – June 2026

OMAH is calling on creative teens to show off their artistic powers in our next high school exhibition: Icons & Alter Egos — a celebration of favourite characters, superheroes, and the stories that inspire us.

Whether you’re into comic book legends, movie heroes, video game icons, or your own original creations, we want to see how YOU bring them to life through art!

This exhibition is about imagination, identity, and transformation — what makes a hero (or a villain)? How do characters reflect who we are or who we want to be?

Ongoing Call for Exhibition Submissions at OMAH

The Orillia Museum of Art & History (OMAH) is currently accepting proposals from artists or curators at various stages of their careers for upcoming art and/or historical exhibitions and/or public programs. If you have an idea for an exhibition, workshop or curatorial project, we want to hear from you!

We invite applications from local and regional artists/curators of all backgrounds including, but not limited to people identifying as BIPOC, LGBTQ2S+ and gender non-binary persons, persons with disabilities, refugee, newcomer and immigrant persons. OMAH is committed to equity and inclusion in all aspects of its operations.  We pay artists, curators and educators based on CARFAC fee standards. OMAH has two potential exhibition spaces, one is a large open gallery, and the other is a small intimate space.  Please note that we plan exhibitions two to four years in advance.
