Exploring Colour and Composition with Tanya Cunnington

Wednesday, April 5 – 12 pm – 2 pm

On Wednesday, April 5, from 12 to 2 p.m., as part of our Midday-Make series, please join regional artist and OMAH’s Arts Programming Coordinator Tanya Cunnington for a chance to create a colourful landscape painting using acrylic paints.  Tanya, a graduate of OCADU, an artist and a curator, is known for her landscapes that push the boundaries of realism using colour and composition.  In this workshop, Tanya will discuss basic colour theory as well as tricks on mixing colours and colour placement  within an artwork.  Participants are asked to bring a photo of a landscape that they would like to work from.  All materials, a light snack and refreshments are included, but participants are welcome to bring their own lunch.

No artistic experience is necessary.
