Join OMAH for self-guided life drawing sessions in Orillia designed for intermediate artists looking to strengthen their observational and figure drawing skills while working from live models. Held in the historic Sir Sam Steele Memorial Building, this four-week studio series offers a relaxed and supportive environment with a combination of short poses, longer studies, and extended poses featuring both nude and clothed models.
Self-Guided Life Drawing at OMAH offers artists an opportunity to practise drawing from live models in a focused studio environment without formal instruction. Ideal for intermediate artists and experienced beginners comfortable working independently, these sessions are designed to help participants build confidence in gesture drawing, anatomy, proportion, shading, and sustained observational drawing.
Each session includes a variety of short poses, longer poses, and one extended pose. A studio facilitator will be present to manage timing and support the flow of the session, while allowing participants the freedom to work at their own pace and in their preferred style.
Participants are expected to bring their own drawing materials and drawing board. Easels will be available on site.
Sessions may include both nude and clothed models.
