Six Figures in A Landscape by Charles Pachter

250 serigraph prints were produced in 1980 from a transparency of the painting, Six Figures in A Landscape by Charles Pachter.  The group of six individuals sitting on the ground depicts a picnic at the artist’s farm in Oro-Medonte in 1978. There are two groups of three: left, Moses Znaimer, Toller Cranston, Ruby Bronstein; right, Marci Lipman, Lynn King, Venable Herndon.

For many years Pachter has considered Lake Simcoe and Orillia as his second home.  Recently, he cemented his affection for the region, as well as his conviction that Orillia could become a significant visual arts destination with the establishment of his Moose Factory of Orillia (MOFO), located at 52 Western Ave (at Peter St), just down the street from the Orillia Museum of Art & History.  Since its establishment, MOFO has become a unique space where Pachter paints, sculpts, and exhibits some of his best-known Canadian works, many of which are inspired by the local landscape.
