CHASING THE LIGHT

Across the seasons

Exhibition Details

Inspired by the many ways light is explored in art, Chasing the Light features works from OMAH’s permanent collection and celebrates how artists use light to shape their work, create atmosphere, and guide the viewer’s eye.

Light can transform a scene by revealing details, creating contrast, establishing mood, and giving a work a sense of depth and movement. Whether subtle or dramatic, the interplay of light and shadow influences how we experience colour, form, space, and emotion.

Chasing the Light invites visitors to look closely at these works and consider how something as familiar as light can completely transform the way we see a subject.
