Join us for an engaging evening with Ted Duncan as he explores the history of the Orillia Fish and Game Conservation Club, an organization that has played a vital role in local conservation efforts since its founding in 1947.

For decades, the club has been dedicated to wildlife preservation, environmental stewardship, and outdoor education in the Orillia area. Ted will share stories of its impact, key initiatives, and the passionate individuals who have shaped its legacy.

 

About the Speaker:

Ted Duncan is a dedicated community leader, conservationist, and historian whose contributions have profoundly impacted Orillia. With over 50 years of volunteer service, he has played a key role in organizations such as the Orillia Fish and Game Conservation Club, Orillia Youth Soccer, Simcoe County Historical Association and OMAH. Throughout his long-standing involvement with the Orillia Fish and Game Conservation Club, Ted has held multiple leadership positions, including serving as President in 1985, 2010-2013, and again in 2025. His passion for local history led him to serve on the OMAH Board for nine years, including as Chair from 2020-2022. Recognized as Conservationist of the Year 2025 and a recipient of the Ontario Volunteer Award for 50+ years of service, Ted’s unwavering dedication continues to enrich the community he loves.
