The Zephyr Artists are an informal group of local artists who, not wanting to lose the legacy, emerged from the closing of the member-operated Zephyr Gallery on Peter Street. The gallery had been an artist-run organization since 2000, and contributed much to the shape and face of art in Orillia today. The Zephyr Artists endeavour to highlight members’ work through various exhibitions throughout the community. The Everchanging Vitality of Art expresses the energy and creative expression of this diverse group of artists.

The exhibition, Arthur Shilling: The Final Works, brings together key paintings from the period 1976 to 1986. During this incredibly creative time, Arthur Shilling (1941–1986) was at the height of his artistic skill as his works became bolder and stronger. With this exhibition we celebrate Shilling as a critically important artist and visionary.
