Our Elders tell us that our feet have walked upon the back of Turtle Island for time immemorial. Our resiliency has been proven time and time again, we have faced genocide both physical and cultural, betrayal at the hands of our allies, residential schools, and the murder of our women and girls. Despite this... We Are Still Here!

In my art practice, I am interested in camouflaging history and ideology in an ironic and often humorous way. Since I moved to Canada in 1993 I was fascinated with the new culture I found myself in and I explored a lot in the area of pop-culture and consumerism.
As an artist, I like to explore the construction of identity, and its cultural and social implications.

Special reception: Saturday, May 2, 1-3 pm
Curated by local naturalist David Hawke, this exhibition is a story of adventure and survival that will take you on a journey through time in our region.  From the beginnings of human occupation in this region nearly 8,000 years ago, to more modern times, humans have been existing and surviving based off of what the land provides.
Living off the Land will question our understanding of the local landscape and put it’s environmental profile under a spotlight.
