Museum in a Box

OMAH is thrilled to announce that our friends at TELUS Friendly Future Foundation are supporting our NEW Museum in a Box program! Geared towards grades 4-8, Museum in a Box offers educators a unique, hands-on classroom experience. 

This program introduces students to heritage and art museums and their importance within communities. Through educational objects, students will examine key historical themes surrounding their Museum in a Box, fostering observational and critical thinking skills.

Students will research their object, write a brief description, and share their findings with their classmates, enhancing their communication skills. Students will develop creativity and an understanding of the significance of cultural preservation by creating marketing materials for their museum and exhibition. Digital and physical resources will be available to support their learning and engagement.
