Behold a Man Who is a bean

Behold a Man Who is a Bean, explores the artist’s recent interest in the compositions and embellishments of mediaeval artworks, which  historically belonged mostly to the wealthy and were viewable in a place of worship. With the embellishments removed, Duck’s subject matter are simple random objects such as kitchen scraps or a greasy pan or common people who have no claim to major positions of power.  The pieces draw upon this history humourously.  Harley Duck is a graduate of the University of Guelph, where he received a BA in English and Studio Art in 2021, he is also currently completing a Museum and Gallery Studies Ontario College Graduate Certificate from Georgian College.
